CEO’s can learn A LOT…and CMO’s can too! Whenever I visit and IN-N-OUT location (like today) I am amazed and reminded about how their remarkable simplicity and limited choices can drive raving customers (fans) to their doors every day. I know it is tough for consumer brands and B-to-B marketers to limit their offerings, especially under the auspices of global expansions and product extensions…but that just may be the track needed to reboot a complex product mix into a cleaner, simpler set of offers–that customers actually like. Another real benefit to this counter-intuitive approach–it will become easier to improve quality and connect with clients in a more passionate (IN-N-OUT) way!
